About the role

  • Marketing & Communication Intern at New Tales Publishing, develop editorial and digital marketing skills in the gaming industry across multiple content formats.
  • Work closely with Digital Marketing and Communications teams to align editorial content with publishing and digital marketing strategies.
  • Craft engaging narratives that captivate the audience and apply best practices for digital content optimization.
  • Craft compelling narratives across blogs, newsletters, website copy, and social media to engage our audience and amplify our brand.
  • Shape and refine our editorial voice, ensuring consistency across all channels while staying fresh and relevant.
  • Uncover stories worth telling by researching industry trends, player insights, and creative angles.
  • Help planning and implementing Communications activities to ensure games are well represented in media and with content creators.
  • Collaborate across teams (Communications, Marketing, Community, Brand and more) to align content with broader publishing and engagement strategies.
  • Optimize for impact by learning from data, audience feedback, and best practices to refine content for greater reach and engagement.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Creative Writing, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong command of English (French is a plus).
  • Passion for storytelling and a good understanding of digital content best practices.
  • Interest in video games, entertainment, and geek culture.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple writing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative mindset with an eagerness to propose and develop fresh editorial ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to write in different tones and styles.
  • A team-oriented spirit with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn from feedback.
  • Adaptability and ability to switch between long-form content (blogs, newsletters) and short-form content (social media, headlines).
