About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform journey‐level skilled work in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the utility plant during the incumbent’s shift
- Monitor high temperature water, boilers and related equipment
- Travel to the other campuses as required
- Respond to campus emergencies 24 hours a day / seven days per week after one year of service
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
- A valid Class “C” driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment
- An Environmental Protection Agency Refrigerant Certification
- An OSHA 10 certification is required within one year of employment
- Physical ability to meet the job demands including walking, standing, pushing/pulling, lifting, climbing, and exposure to hazardous materials
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, without sponsorship at the time of hire, and as a condition of continued employment
