About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform journey‐level skilled work in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the utility plant during the incumbent’s shift
Monitor high temperature water, boilers and related equipment
Travel to the other campuses as required
Respond to campus emergencies 24 hours a day / seven days per week after one year of service

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
A valid Class “C” driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment
An Environmental Protection Agency Refrigerant Certification
An OSHA 10 certification is required within one year of employment
Physical ability to meet the job demands including walking, standing, pushing/pulling, lifting, climbing, and exposure to hazardous materials
Must be eligible to work in the United States, without sponsorship at the time of hire, and as a condition of continued employment
