About the role
- You develop the strategic target network planning for the power grids (110 kV, 10 kV, 0.4 kV) and design the network topology.
- You plan the interconnections of assets such as local distribution substations, transformer substations, pumping stations and heat transfer stations — with a focus on a smart, interconnected infrastructure.
- You continuously review and evaluate the networks and connection points based on our network model with planned extensions or changes.
- Using state-of-the-art power system simulation and network analysis software, you create and update network models that form the basis of our strategic planning.
- You derive measures to keep our power grids technically reliable and compliant with regulatory requirements for the future — from efficiency improvements to digital transformation.
- Your planning directly influences the design and expansion of our critical network infrastructure.
- You plan the strategic development of the data network — from classic data transmission (DFÜ), fiber-optic (LWL) to redundant connections via 4G/LTE or the 450 MHz radio network and beyond.
Requirements
- You have a successfully completed degree (at least a Bachelor’s) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a comparable field.
- Ideally, you have experience with the construction or operation of power distribution networks and have worked with network calculation tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory — if not, you will learn it with us!
- Interpreting laws, regulations and technical standards and incorporating them into your work is not new to you.
- Knowledge of SAP or GIS is a plus — if you don’t have it, no problem.
- You think visionarily, are eager to help shape the energy world of tomorrow, and enjoy developing new concepts.
