About the role

  • You develop the strategic target network planning for the power networks (110 kV, 10 kV, 0.4 kV) and design the network topology.
  • You plan the interconnections of assets such as local transformer stations, substations, pumping stations and heat transfer stations — with a focus on a smart and connected infrastructure.
  • You continuously review and evaluate the networks and customers based on our network model with planned expansions or changes.
  • Using state-of-the-art simulation and network calculation software, you create and update network models that serve as the basis for our strategic planning.
  • You derive measures to make our power networks technically available and compliant with future regulations — from efficiency improvements to digital transformation.
  • Your planning directly influences the design and expansion of our critical network infrastructure.
  • You plan the strategic development of the data network — from traditional DFÜ and fiber optics (LWL) to redundant connections via 4G/LTE or the 450 MHz radio network and beyond.

Requirements

  • You have a successfully completed degree, at least a Bachelor’s, in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering or a comparable field.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with the construction or operation of power distribution networks and have worked with network calculation tools such as PowerFactory — if not, you will learn it with us!
  • Interpreting laws, regulations and technical standards and integrating them professionally is not new to you.
  • Familiarity with SAP or GIS is a plus — if not, no problem.
  • You think visionary, are eager to help shape the energy world of tomorrow, and enjoy developing new concepts.
