About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for billing Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance for behavioral health services
Develop procedures and provide supervision, direction, and oversight for the billing, coding, and provider paneling functions
Work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Participate in some in-person meetings within Kent County

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology or related field
Certification as a biller or coder from an accredited organization
At least 3-5 years of medical billing and/or coding experience
Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management
Experience managing a business function (preferred)
Supervisory experience (preferred)
Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued (preferred)
Any combination of education, training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
