About the role
- Technical responsibility for the architecture, implementation, and quality of all Shopify projects
- Definition of standards for theme architecture, app integration, deployment, and development processes
- Designing and implementing deployment and collaboration structures with clients within the Shopify ecosystem
- Integrating clients' full SaaS landscape: ERP systems, CRM, payment, fulfillment, marketing automation, analytics, and PIM systems
- Establishing and maintaining standards for B2B and D2C Shopify projects
- Responsibility for the technical development and integration of in-house and third-party Shopify apps
- Using and evolving n8n workflows for process automation and system integration
- Promoting AI-assisted development methods
- Close collaboration with project management, UX/UI, DevOps, and the Team Manager to implement the technical roadmap
- Technical consulting during pre-sales and concept phases
Requirements
- Several years of experience in technical leadership or architecture of complex Shopify or Shopify Plus projects
- Strong knowledge of Liquid, Hydrogen, GraphQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, React
- Experience with ERP, CRM, PIM, and marketing integrations as well as automation tools (e.g., n8n, Klaviyo)
- Understanding of B2B and D2C requirements in e-commerce and their technical implementation
- Hands-on experience in developing and integrating custom Shopify apps
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD processes, and version management
- High technical excellence, a structured working style, and enthusiasm for modern SaaS architectures
