Licensed Insurance Agents assist NerdWallet customers with quoting, comparing, and binding insurance products available in our carrier market. They also assist with servicing newly bound policies and cross-sell other essential products customers may need.
The Licensed Insurance Agent helps individuals and businesses find the right insurance coverage to meet their needs. Their main responsibilities include assessing client needs, explaining policy options, assisting with applications, and managing policy renewals. They also provide support during claims and ensure compliance with insurance laws and regulations. Additionally, they may handle sales and marketing to attract new clients.
Conduct comprehensive client assessments to determine insurance requirements and evaluate potential risks. Recommend suitable insurance products including, but not limited to, auto, home, life, and health. Provide clear and concise explanations of policy terms, coverage limits, and premium costs. Prepare and submit insurance applications and associated documentation in accordance with established procedures. Manage and facilitate the renewal of client policies as required.
Offer support to clients throughout the claims process and maintain ongoing customer service.
Remain informed of current insurance products, legislation, and regulatory compliance mandates.

Requirements
Valid Property and Casualty Insurance Agent License
Insurance Agent II - minimum of 3 years of insurance agent experience required
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer proficiency (use of CRM software, email, and quoting tools)
Knowledge of insurance products and regulations
Experience Quoting, selling, servicing Personal Lines Insurance Products
Familiarity with many personal lines insurance carriers, products and their underwriting process
