About the role

  • Develop, implement and manage a finance strategy aligned with company objectives, including budget and liquidity planning
  • Overall responsibility for the fundraising process, including strategic planning, operational execution and follow-up of financing rounds, as well as the preparation of pitch decks
  • Manage and conduct investor pitches and due diligence processes, including preparation, moderation and follow-up of pitch meetings and full management of the data room
  • Represent the company to investors, shareholders and other relevant stakeholders, e.g., during board meetings or industry events
  • Build, lead and further develop our Finance & Fundraising team and coordinate external partners (e.g., tax advisors, auditors, legal)
  • Manage the financial and structural expansion into new markets (e.g., the USA), including finance- and tax-related matters and the development of internal processes with a focus on internationalization and scalability

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in finance, preferably at a startup or scaleup with VC funding
  • Degree or professional qualification with a focus on finance
  • Strong proficiency in analyzing balance sheets, P&L statements and cash flow
  • Experience working with VCs and auditors, including preparation and support of financing rounds
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, high numerical affinity and attention to detail
  • High level of ownership, a proactive drive and willingness to go the extra mile—combined with the ability to lead a team and actively drive change
  • Experience building or managing financial structures in the US market or other international markets is an advantage
  • Native-level German and fluent English
