About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Neota is a revolutionary no-code automation platform empowering insurance, compliance and legal professionals to
- build and deploy workflow automation solutions without writing a single line of code.
- The DevOps Engineer is responsible for maintaining secure, high-performing cloud infrastructure across AWS and
- Microsoft Azure, including managing and patching Linux servers.
- The role focuses on optimising system reliability
- and performance, supporting development teams with production troubleshooting, and maintaining in-house
- deployment tools built with Django.
- It also involves managing backups, databases, and source control systems like
- Git, while ensuring strong security practices and clear documentation of architecture and networks.
- This work for this role will need to be performed during US business hours
Requirements
What you’ll need- Managing and maintaining the Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
- infrastructure supporting Neota Logic and its customers.
- Managing, updating and patching our fleet of Linux application servers.
- Tuning our cloud-based delivery systems to achieve excellent availability, responsiveness and performance.
- Supporting software development in troubleshooting production problems.
- Maintaining, updating and extending our in-house developed Django-based
- build/deployment/infrastructure management tool.
- Ensuring that our networks and applications are secure.
- Managing backups, databases and SCM (like git).
- Helping to document architecture, networking and security - both internally and externally.
- Ability to work 4 hours one weekend per month
- Required Skills: AWS (EC2/RDS), Azure, Scripting (Bash, Python), Network Management, RDBMS/SQL
- Administration, Linux, Security. Microsoft 365 & Google workspace administration will be
- considered a plus.
- Education: BSCS (MSCS preferred)
- Professional Experience: 3+ years
- 2+ years of Linux Systems Administration experience. You must be comfortable and proficient working from the UNIX command line
- 2+ years of professional experience administering public cloud systems, in particular AWS
- (EC2, RDS, Guard Duty, WAR etc.) and Azure
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience administering SQL relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- The ability to come up to speed quickly and thrive in an environment rich in complexity
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions in a clear and organized manner
- The ability to work independently and achieve established goals with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail, but with a solid grasp of the bigger picture
- A security-first mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
