About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a team of engineers, drafters, designers, and/or technicians servicing industrial clients
- Perform detailed design of electrical power systems
- Prepare computer-based models and perform power system studies
- Develop protective relay settings
- Program, install, and test SCADA and PLC systems
- Prepare project documents and reports including cost estimates
- Review equipment data and design submittals for conformance
- Provide field assistance and troubleshooting as required
- Maintain strong Company-Client relationships
- Support business development and assist with marketing tasks
- Mentor and coach team members for professional growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of engineering or relevant field experience
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred
- PE preferred
- Professional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgement and discretion
- Highly organized, motivated self-starter
- Proven record of delivering a high standard of quality work with attention to detail
- Comfortable working with limited information to create system designs and plans
- Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a quickly growing team
- Good interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills; ability to interact successfully at all levels of the organization; high emotional intelligence
- Ability to develop staff through mentoring and coaching
- A strong command of the English language
- A strong written and verbal command of the English language
