About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently lead annual and consolidated financial statement audits in accordance with HGB and IFRS
- Responsible for planning, executing and finalizing complex audit engagements
- Provide technical support to companies transitioning from HGB to IFRS
- Support IFRS implementations, IFRS reporting processes and group accounting projects
- Act as primary contact for CFOs, heads of accounting, managing directors and shareholders
- Lead, coach and develop junior team members
- Review work outputs and ensure the highest quality standards
- Actively contribute to the further development of our Audit and Advisory services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in business, economics, finance or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in external audit
- Experience leading audit engagements
- Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards
- Experience auditing consolidated financial statements
- Ideally, initial experience with IFRS conversion, consolidation or transformation projects
- Enjoy direct client interaction and possess an entrepreneurial mindset
- Enthusiasm for mentoring and developing junior colleagues
