Use multi-physics platforms (MOOSE, BISON, BISON-MARMOT) for thermomechanical analysis of reactor components, evaluating stresses, deformation, and material performance.
Implement uncertainty quantification methods to enhance model robustness and confidence in simulation outcomes.
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation and problem-solving in reactor core and system design; contribute to improving safety, performance, and efficiency of next-generation reactor designs.
Requirements
MS or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
At least 5–7 years of relevant industry or research experience in nuclear reactor design, computational modeling, or related fields.
Hands-on experience with computational and analysis software such as Serpent, MCNP, OpenMC, MOOSE, BISON, TRANSURANUS, COMSOL, ANSYS, or similar.
Demonstrated capability to innovate solutions for complex nuclear engineering challenges.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, comfortable working in dynamic, multidisciplinary environments.
US citizenship required due to government contract/clearance requirements.
