About the role
- Perform electrical drafting for PPTT equipment
- Collaborate with engineers to create or modify designs and drawings for PPTT equipment
- Review supplier electrical designs for adherence to technical requirements
- Participate in design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer project
- Support development of advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology within a multidisciplinary federal contractor environment
- Work within quality- and safety-focused teams supporting DOE/NNSA, NASA, and Department of Defense contracts
Requirements
- An active DOE L Clearance or DOD equivalent is required in order to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Proficiency in performing electrical engineering drafting
- Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques
- Experience creating or reviewing electrical engineering designs based on approved technical requirements
- Proficiency with engineering software, including SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, and/or AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers, low voltage electrical distribution, audiovisual, or telecommunications systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- US citizenship required
