About the role

- Support project management in planning and execution of assigned projects and control accounts
- Support managers/customers to develop statement of work (WBS, Dictionary, objectives, assumptions, deliverables), resource estimates, and baseline schedules
- Identify and assist in analysis of project schedule variance and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS) and ensure effective project coding
- Develop Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule logic for engineering, procurement, and decontamination/decommissioning processes
- Gather and assemble data for schedule updates, measure progress, and review schedule performance
- Collect data, update, and produce scheduling reports and support monthly report preparation
- Assist in tracking subcontractor performance and support cost analysis via cross-training
- Maintain baseline schedule using contract funds status, WBS, and earned value methodology
- Communicate on cost and schedule criteria, explain performance systems to CAMs, and support control account establishment
- Complete periodic field walkdowns to validate performance and estimate to complete (ETC), perform variance analysis, and notify management of changes
- Ensure compliance with earned value management system, encourage early detection/analysis of variances, and guide risk management planning
- Support ongoing updates to Estimate at Completion (EAC) and keep management appraised of financial posture and funding authorizations
- Ensure training/qualifications are current and participate in professional development and societies
Requirements
- BA/BS in business, construction management, engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of six (6) years of related experience
- Licenses/Certifications: None
- Experience in project management or project controls
- Strong analytical skills and experience with cost management and scheduling software
- Proficiency in cost/finance analysis, estimating, and reporting tools
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) or Project Management Professionals (PMP) requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong background in planning, budget preparation, and basic scheduling techniques
- US citizenship required due to government contract requirements and/or clearances
