About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a distributed engineering team to design, review, and build well-crafted software
  • Collaborate with government partners and other contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing systems
  • Work in an Agile manner to efficiently ship features that meet user needs
  • Create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows
  • Write and review technical documentation
  • Perform code reviews
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems and investigate issues
  • Participate in hiring activities, including submitting referrals, conducting interviews, and attending interview debriefs
  • Improve overall engineering quality through documentation, technical guidance, mentoring, and best practices
  • Lead significant migration efforts and work with government stakeholders to gain buy-in on technical initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in C#/.NET
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservice architecture
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in Microsoft Azure
  • Experience working on large-scale applications and systems
  • Experience with cloud-native architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices and authentication/authorization patterns
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and modern software development practices
  • Experience leading engineering teams and providing technical direction and architecture guidance
  • Ability to review code, mentor engineers, and enforce engineering standards
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to meet other requirements for applicable government contracts
  • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract
  • Must reside in one of the listed states
  • Must work from the contiguous United States
