Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, manage, mentor, and grow several teams of bioinformaticians
Be a true thought partner to the experimental, engineering, and product teams
Work with the commercial and software teams to translate bioinformatics capabilities into scalable solutions
Guide the design of individual experiments as well as broader experimental strategy and priorities
Responsible for successful delivery of data analyses and processing solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

15+ years of relevant experience in a high performing biotechnology organization, including 10+ years of experience in a leadership role
PhD in Bioinformatics or a related field
Proven track record of leading many bioinformatics teams to success on very complex projects
Demonstrated experience partnering with scientists developing novel biochemical approaches or assays
Fluency in a wide variety of statistical analysis skills, data processing and visualization approaches, programming languages and environments
Strong organization, communication, problem solving, and project management skills
