About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with the Nautica CAD team to gather and create original prints and patterns for seasonal colors and concepts
Research and assist in coordinating print and pattern direction
Translate inspirational sample prints and patterns into CAD format
Color and create pattern repeats throughout development and format CAD for multiple classifications per concept and season
Support line development by updating and refreshing CAD prints and patterns as designs evolve
Understand how the production process impacts print and pattern
Maintain organization and classification systems so files are accessible to team members
Manage file transmission to the Design team and troubleshoot issues collaboratively
Create production-ready artwork consistent with CAD center of excellence best practices
Communicate, organize, and share artwork using Miro for cross-functional collaboration
Develop working relationships with Directors, Designers, Graphics, Colorists, and production teams
Maintain awareness of the corporate calendar and help manage deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need

4 years’ experience in the textile/graphic design industry
4-year art degree or equivalent
Knowledge of textile/graphic processes, including graphic, print, and yarn-dye
Knowledge of textile design software
Adobe Suite proficiency preferred
Familiarity with Kaledo is a plus
Strong creative and sketching skills
Understanding of all markets and the Nautica customer
Excellent presentation, persuasion, and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and shift priorities
Commitment to learning and continuous development
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Mastery of time management
Ability to work in a diverse, creative team
