About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a team of software engineers designing and building modern web applications
Define, document, and enforce coding standards, development processes, and engineering best practices
Drive solution architecture and participate in high-level design discussions
Own assigned features and software components from clinical/commercial intent through technical design and delivery
Translate expected clinical behavior into software requirements, designs, and implementation
Contribute directly to coding and implementation of key features and components
Conduct code reviews for quality, security, and performance
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments
Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and QA teams to deliver features
Mentor and coach team members
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management
Leverage Microsoft Azure for hosting, storage, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring
Champion DevOps practices, automated testing, continuous integration, and seamless deployments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of software development experience
2+ years in a technical leadership role
Expertise with React.js or a similar modern JavaScript framework
Expertise with Java, C#.NET/ASP.NET Core, Python, or another object-oriented programming language
Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP platform services
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and microservices
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates is nice to have
Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and Azure AD is nice to have
Knowledge of data engineering or machine learning pipelines is nice to have
Experience in regulated medical device or healthcare environments, FDA design controls, equivalent QMS, design documentation, verification evidence, and requirements traceability is nice to have
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
Ability to mentor and motivate teams
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in business-friendly language
Ability to raise risks, voice disagreement, and push back constructively
