About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance services independently
Respond to emergency calls 24/7 when necessary
Troubleshoot critical power systems, identify root causes, and carry out repairs to minimize downtime
Adhere to job requirements and perform tasks accurately
Focus on preventative maintenance and achieve Zero Defects
Communicate with and educate customers on equipment operation
Maintain and secure company tools and equipment
Support sales opportunities by recommending critical power equipment and related products
Submit necessary paperwork accurately and on time
Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members
Attend product-specific training sessions
Assist with equipment commissioning
Handle battery installation, removal, and disposal procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering technology or a related field
At least 4 years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining critical power or similar equipment
Willingness to learn technical skills through various training methods
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Self-motivated and able to independently manage workload
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds
Valid driver's license with auto insurance required
Current vehicle insurance and licenses required
Completion of factory training or equivalent in repair and maintenance of multiple leading UPS brands preferred
Previous critical power field service experience preferred
Proficiency with electrical/electronic test equipment preferred
Ability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and schematics preferred
Understanding of Ohm's law and electronic theory preferred
Skill in evaluating equipment operating conditions preferred
