Key responsibilities & impact

Independently schedule and conduct preventative maintenance services
Respond to emergency calls 24/7 when necessary
Troubleshoot critical power systems, identify root causes, and carry out repairs efficiently
Adhere to job requirements and strive for accuracy
Focus on preventative maintenance and achieve Zero Defects
Communicate with and educate customers on equipment operation
Maintain and secure company tools and equipment
Maintain personal vehicle in safe condition and keep current insurance and licenses
Support sales opportunities by recommending critical power equipment and related products
Submit necessary paperwork accurately and on time
Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members
Attend product-specific training and assist with equipment commissioning
Handle battery installation, removal, and disposal procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology or a related field
At least 4 years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining critical power or similar equipment
Willingness to learn technical skills through various training methods
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Self-motivated and able to independently manage workload
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Factory training or equivalent in repair and maintenance of multiple leading UPS brands preferred
Previous critical power field service experience preferred
Proficiency with electrical/electronic test equipment
Understanding of electrical and electronic fundamentals
Ability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and schematics
Understanding of Ohm's law and electronic theory
Ability to evaluate equipment operating conditions
Ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds
Valid driver's license with auto insurance required
Current vehicle insurance and licenses required
