About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and execute QA strategy for projects in alignment with organizational standards and best practices
- Analyze features and user stories to validate acceptance criteria, testability, and proposed-change impact
- Estimate QA activities including test design, automation, execution, and defect resolution
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts focused on the test automation pyramid and lower-level system testing
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and pre-release product testing
- Conduct peer reviews of test plans, test cases, and automation code
- Identify, document, track, and perform root-cause analysis for defects through resolution
- Maintain and execute regression test suites
- Recommend and implement QA process and tool improvements
- Plan and lead testing efforts for moderately complex projects across teams
- Provide technical advice and support to lower-level positions
- Potentially coach staff and participate in talent selection, development, and performance management decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience in quality assurance or test engineering
- Experience with API testing, including Postman or SoapUI
- Experience with test automation and strong automation skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C# or Python
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins
- Experience with version control tools such as Git, GitHub, and Azure Repos
- Experience with database testing, including SQL Server and Snowflake
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing, test data design, and AI-generated test cases
- Playwright experience
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and modern SDLC practices
- Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, Git, Docker, Postman, and SQL
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and business relationship skills
- High-level understanding of organizational business and technology operations
- Strong analytical skills and ability to gather and analyze data for decision-making
- Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation such as CSQE, ISTQB CTFL, or CAT preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship
