About the role

  • Advance an advocacy agenda for NFTC's international tax strategy and policies
  • Monitor, analyze, and influence cross-border tax legislation
  • Provide updates on global tax trends
  • Support key priorities for advocacy and education
  • Implement strategies to engage Congress and the Executive Branch
  • Draft policy goals, position papers, and comments
  • Identify opportunities for NFTC to intervene on tax issues outside the U.S.
  • Execute regular meetings and events, including monthly Tax Committee meetings
  • Assist in organizing NFTC's annual international tax conference
  • Collaborate with other policy teams for engagement on shared priorities
  • Maintain key relationships with officials and stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years (Director) or 7+ years (Senior Director) of experience in international tax policy
  • 15+ years of experience for part-time contract
  • Law degree or post-graduate degree in international affairs, tax, or related field preferred
  • Experience developing, coordinating, and running educational or advocacy programs
  • Collaboration with diverse business, government, and nonprofit stakeholders
  • Familiarity with international tax issues and ability to evaluate complex policy impacts
  • Experience with OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework preferred
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel for business purposes up to 20% of the time.
