About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, lead, and execute multiple technical projects for Department of Defense customers within defined scopes and budgets
  • Develop statements of work, cost proposals, and project timelines for new business opportunities
  • Coordinate project time management and budgets up to $1.0 million
  • Develop and manage project costs before and after award
  • Delegate tasks and execute assignments within budget and schedule
  • Expand customer and partner networks within the advanced manufacturing ecosystem
  • Develop and mature customer relationships while meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Identify new business opportunities among existing and new customers
  • Travel as required, with less than 30% travel expected
  • Work with managers and contract authorities to ensure quality project reporting on budgets and progress milestones
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers, management, engineers, and technicians

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. degree in engineering or a related engineering technical area with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree in engineering or a related engineering technical area with 15 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading and managing projects
  • Consistent career achievement, including supervision of material and labor project budgets
  • Proven ability to generate quality reports
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes
  • Experience working in Department of Defense project and manufacturing environments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, especially technical report writing
  • Ability to work with little oversight; proactive and confident approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate at technical and non-technical levels for the intended audience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and complete E-Verify verification
  • Detail-oriented, adaptive, self-starting, and high-energy approach
