About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a regulatory compliance resource and consistently apply sound review and recommendation techniques as they relate to policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintain awareness of laws and regulations affecting the Credit Union, and research and evaluate the impact on the Credit Union
- Collaborate with others on the creation and revision of forms, disclosures, policies, and procedures
- Conduct compliance testing and provide summary reports
- Participate in compliance-related risk assessments
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
- Communicate with external legal and compliance professionals when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of federal laws and regulations affecting financial institutions
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in relevant field preferred (Level I)
- Minimum of two years of progressively advancing financial institution experience along with regulatory compliance responsibilities (Level I)
- Minimum of four years of progressively advancing financial institution experience along with regulatory compliance responsibilities (Level II)
- Regulatory compliance certification preferred (Level II)
- Minimum of six years of progressively advancing financial institution experience with at least three years specifically responsible for regulatory compliance responsibilities (Level III)
- Compliance Testing experience preferred (Level III)
