About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support parents from their return home from the maternity ward.
  • Provide newborn care (0–3 months): hygiene, nappy changes, bathing, and daily care.
  • Manage feeding: breastfeeding, bottle feeding, feeding schedules, and hygiene practices.
  • Ensure the baby’s sleep: rhythms, environment, and calming routines.
  • Observe, detect, and report any signs of discomfort or distress.
  • Maintain a professional approach suited to high-end families: discretion, confidentiality, and respect for family routines.
  • Communicate clearly and reassuringly with parents, both day and night.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience with infants and young children (private families, nurseries, maternity wards, etc.).
  • Genuine interest in postnatal support and the parent–baby relationship.
  • Ability to work variable hours (days and nights) for future Maternity Nurse assignments.
  • Reliability, discretion, professionalism, and a well-groomed appearance.
  • Comfortable with online training (internet connection plus a computer or tablet).
