About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support parents from the moment they return home from the maternity ward.
- Provide newborn care (0–3 months): hygiene, diaper changes, bathing, and daily care.
- Manage feeding: breastfeeding support, bottle feeding, feeding schedules, and hygiene practices.
- Monitor and support infant sleep: routines, sleep environment, and soothing techniques.
- Observe, detect, and report signs of discomfort or distress.
- Maintain a professional demeanor suited to high-end families: discretion, confidentiality, and respect for family routines.
- Communicate clearly and reassuringly with parents, both day and night.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience caring for infants and young children (private families, nurseries, maternity wards, etc.).
- Genuine interest in postnatal support and the parent–baby relationship.
- Ability to work variable hours (days and nights) for future Maternity Nurse assignments.
- Seriousness, reliability, discretion, and a neat professional appearance.
- Comfortable following online training (requires internet access and a computer or tablet).
