About the role

  • Own the architecture, evolution and maintenance of the environment on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, security and cost efficiency.
  • Administer and operate cloud-native infrastructure, combining IaaS resources (Compute Engine with MIGs) and serverless solutions (Cloud Run and Cloud Functions).
  • Design and manage network topology, including VPCs, subnets, routing and load balancing (Cloud Load Balancers) for efficient traffic distribution.
  • Manage databases in Cloud SQL, ensuring high availability, replication and consistent backup policies.
  • Ensure environment security by configuring IAM, firewalls, Cloud Armor and continuous monitoring with Security Command Center (SCC).
  • Monitor, analyze and optimize costs (FinOps), identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve resource utilization.
  • Implement and maintain observability using Cloud Monitoring, Logging and alerting.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, integrating continuous deployment and infrastructure as code (IaC).

Requirements

  • Strong experience in architecting and administering environments on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in cloud networking, including VPC, Cloud NAT, Load Balancing, DNS and firewall rules.
  • Hands-on experience with serverless architectures (Cloud Run and/or Cloud Functions).
  • Experience with managed databases, especially Cloud SQL.
  • Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Cloud Monitoring and Logging).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work in a structured way in dynamic environments, balancing stability, cost and technical evolution.
  • The following are a plus:
  • Official Google Cloud certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect or Security Engineer).
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud security, including use of Security Command Center and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine - GKE).
