About the role
- Prioritize and manage the squad's backlog to ensure timely delivery of enhancements, bug fixes, and feature rollouts.
- Track progress against goals and key deliverables for supported projects.
- Collaborate closely with the permanent Product Owner to understand existing plans, initiatives, and stakeholder needs.
- Step in to lead tactical execution while preserving strategic direction.
- Act as the voice of the customer and business, coordinating with stakeholders and cross-functional product teams to support dependencies.
- Ensure smooth communication with HR, IT, and functional partners.
- Coordinate across teams to keep deliverables on track, clarify requirements, and make trade-off decisions when needed.
- Maintain transparency and keep priorities aligned.
- Ensure adherence to agile practices and contribute to a collaborative squad culture.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and support ongoing performance feedback within the squad.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience around Workday ecosystem and HR processes
- Knowledge of Workday HCM module
- Proven ability to step into existing teams and hit the ground running
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams
- Solid understanding of HR processes and Workday capabilities (Core HR, Absence, Mobility)
- Experience managing technical and functional stakeholders
- Confident in using data and customer feedback to prioritize and evaluate work
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to quickly adapt to changing needs
