About the role
- Organize and conduct projects in the area of SAP HANA, e.g., installations, updates, migrations, analysis and optimization, scale-outs, etc.
- Ensure proper SAP HANA system operation for our large SAP HANA landscape
- Advise our customers and colleagues on SAP HANA, both on-premises in our data centers and in the cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Review and optimize the operating concept of our SAP HANA databases and landscapes
Requirements
- Experience managing projects in the SAP Basis and SAP HANA area
- Several years of experience in the setup and operation of SAP systems and SAP HANA databases and related technologies
- Deep knowledge of SAP HANA platform implementations, Scale-Up and Scale-Out, and operational tasks such as table distribution and table partitioning
- Data center operating knowledge regarding HANA hardware-specific deployment models (TDI, Appliance, physical and virtual environments), including the OS platform (SLES for SAP) and areas such as storage mapping in TDI scenarios
- Experience with HANA System Replication together with SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension clustering frameworks (Corosync and Pacemaker)
