About the role
- The ideal candidate should be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Illustrator and Photoshop to collaborate seamlessly with our current in-house design team.
- Must possess a complete design skill set within all software platforms.
- They'll be tasked to output tech pack files with product specification details clearly listed and art sized appropriately per product shape.
- Adaptability to fast-paced turnaround requirements is a must.
- In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the lead production designer, tackling multiple requests to meet communicated deadlines.
- Create tech packs: Develop comprehensive technical documents using Adobe Illustrator with detailed instructions (measurements, bill of materials, colorways, construction details and labeling specifications) utilizing internal die lines available per product shape.
- Collaborate with lead production designer: Work with lead to translate creative concepts into accurate and manufacturable tech packs our supplier partners will comprehend.
- Liaise with vendors: Communicate daily with manufacturers to clarify technical specifications, answer questions, and resolve sampling and production issues.
- Quality assurance: Review and verify the accuracy and consistency of tech packs and evaluate samples for fit and construction to ensure they align with brand standards and are print ready for production.
- Assist in maintaining an ongoing archive of master template files, creative files, and asset files received from Licenses.
Requirements
- Requires a minimum of 4 years' experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in software: Expertise in design software such as Adobe Illustrator.
- Must be proficient in Print Production Output, Color Flow & Terminology, and Digital Design Output.
- Strong organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, updating and maintaining many documents within our systems.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous and thorough in documenting all technical details to prevent errors through the process.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for collaborating with design, production and external supplier/vendor partners.
- Able to follow the provided directions and instructions and comfortable with receiving constructive criticism with an open mind.
- Thrives in a fast-paced team environment with excellent communication skills and a knack for creative input.
- Demonstrates a creative problem-solving thought process to execute high-quality tech pack output that aligns with the concept design mockup created by the in-house design team.
- Able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and handling multiple requests efficiently.
- Proficient in Mac or PC platforms (Mac preferred for seamless streamline with the in-house team), skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Microsoft Office, Dropbox and project management software or PLM.
- Exhibit initiative and a proactive approach to task completion.
- 3D Design experience is a plus, not required. (Software: Keyshot, Zbrush, and Maya)
