About the role

  • Lead and execute datacenter migration activities for Oracle database infrastructure
  • Design and implement datacenter migration strategies
  • Configure and validate Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
  • Set up and configure Oracle Dataguard for database replication
  • Implement Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication
  • Configure and manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Perform database software installations
  • Perform migration testing, validation, and cutover activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
  • Create and maintain comprehensive migration documentation
  • Coordinate with network, storage, and infrastructure teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Oracle database administration experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Active Dataguard
  • Proven experience with Oracle GoldenGate Microservices
  • Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle database architecture, internals, and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of Oracle backup and recovery using RMAN
  • Knowledge of storage and network technologies relevant to database operations
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure during critical migration events
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification preferred
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python scripting
  • Experience with Oracle Data Pump, SQL*Loader, and other data movement tools
