About the role

  • Design and evolve the application and integration architecture of a new web-based product
  • Design and own core backend and API components using .NET / C#
  • Set technical standards and ensure scalable, maintainable implementations
  • Guide architectural decisions considering security, data protection, and regulatory requirements
  • Work hands-on in development and act as a technical role model
  • Lead and mentor engineers through reviews, coaching, and technical decisions
  • Enable responsible and effective use of AI-supported development tools
  • Collaborate closely with product management and neighboring teams

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in backend or fullstack software development using .NET / C#
  • Strong experience designing APIs and working with modular or distributed system architectures
  • Clear architectural mindset and makes technical decisions with long-term scalability and maintainability in mind
  • Experience taking technical leadership responsibility, mentoring engineers, and guiding teams through complex decisions
  • Enjoys working hands-on while owning critical or foundational system components
  • Understanding of security, data protection, and regulatory requirements
  • Practical experience using AI-supported development tools and understanding their benefits, limitations, and risks
  • Communicates confidently in English (C1 level); German is an advantage
