About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide optimum customer service to maintain existing members and prevent cancellations
- Take full responsibility for every call and ensure callers’ concerns are met
- Handle inbound and outbound calls while adhering to hold time, talk time, after-call work, schedule adherence, and quality assurance objectives
- Respond correctly to Department of Health audit calls
- Act as a liaison between internal and external customers
- Respond promptly, accurately, effectively, politely, and professionally to calls
- Perform accurate and timely data input on all customer contacts
- Simultaneously access multiple databases while addressing customer needs
- Research information needed to accurately respond to customer needs
- Ask appropriate questions to understand customer concerns
- Explain policies and procedures on incoming and outgoing calls
- Educate members about benefits and MVP procedures
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all lines of business
- Use required technical skills to perform tasks efficiently
- Deliver information clearly and confidently
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent when possessing customer service employment experience
- Associate degree or college courses preferred
- Minimum 1–3 years of customer service experience and/or relevant office experience required
- Experience in positions requiring strict confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
- Excellent customer service skills, accountability, and follow-through
- Demonstrated PC skills using Microsoft applications
- Power strip with 4 to 6 outlets with an integrated circuit breaker that cuts power to the extension cord in case of overvoltage or overheating
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills
- Excellent telephone and communication skills
