About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling and assembly methods
- Design, develop and implement assembly fixtures, tooling and production aids
- Provide day-to-day support for production operations and resolve manufacturing-related issues
- Develop corrective and preventive actions to improve process performance
- Drive DFM reviews with Engineering to ensure products can be manufactured efficiently and at target cost
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, quality issues and productivity losses
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3-7 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in DC/DC converters, AC/DC power supplies, power electronics, or related electronics manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing process development, industrialization, process validation, and manufacturing readiness for medium to high-volume production
- Experience developing assembly processes, production equipment, fixtures, and tooling
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, DOE, and process validation methodologies
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for fixture and tooling design
