About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible implementing Quality assurance during the design and development of product life cycle.
  • Monitoring the product quality throughout the product life cycle.
  • Identifying and resolving quality issues which include troubleshooting problems, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Analyzing quality data and reporting on quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, risk mitigation, active involvement with multi-functional teams to develop better understanding of the quality issues to drive continuous improvement.
  • Active participation in ISO external/internal audits, support in implementation of Murata’ QMS, managing customer and management of SCARs/CAT/8Ds, and stop order processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic) or equivalent degree with electronic manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in the quality department with strong technical knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical components and systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills using 8D, A3, DMAIC, SPC, DOE, PDCA, 5P, 5 Why, FT, process mapping, and/or equivalent quality tools, methods, and techniques.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with a passion for Quality and innovation.
  • Experience working with remote teams and CMs (Contract Manufacturers).
  • Nice to have ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) / 6 Sigma certification.
  • Good understanding of statistical methods, continuous improvement, lean methodology (Green or six-sigma black belt certification will be plus)
  • Practical working experience in MS-Word, Excel, power point, MS project and Minitab.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% to 20% domestically and internationally.
