About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You are very hands-on and enjoy tackling tasks and solving problems
As a caretaker you will be on site during weekdays for 20 hours per week during daytime and are the first point of contact when it comes to keeping our premises in order
Your role is characterized by a varied and broad range of tasks
You will have significant freedom to schedule and complete tasks independently
The position can be expanded to 40 hours per week if desired
In the additional 20 hours you would support our lab with basic electronics/electrical tasks, such as soldering
Maintenance and repair tasks in our office and workshop
Responsibility for keeping our offices, workshop and storage tidy and organized
Removal of empty containers, waste and cardboard
Light caretaker duties such as hanging pictures, moving furniture, etc.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Practical skills, hands-on disposition and a general understanding of caretaker/maintenance tasks
Independent and responsible working style and the ability to respond to situations at short notice
Strong sense of order and cleanliness
Physically resilient and capable of manual work
Communicative and friendly; good German or English skills
Right to reside and work in Germany
Completed vocational/trade training is a plus
A driving license is also a plus
