About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design & Implementation: Architect and implement scalable feature additions to our in-house XIL framework and automated reporting toolchains.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct resource analysis (CPU/Memory) to ensure the framework operates within strict timing limits dictated by embedded real-time requirements.
- Certification Support: Ensure the HiL environment and framework architecture support the rigorous evidence-gathering required for ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.
- Standardization: Enforce modular, maintainable code structures adhering to our Internal Python Developer Guide as well as common best practices.
- Infrastructure as Code: Develop and test deployment scripts to automate the rollout of test environments across the organization.
- CI/CD Integration: Maintain and optimize release pipelines for all versioned work products (Python modules, configs).
- Stability & Maintenance: Proactively monitor framework stability and establish a support plan to address bug fixes and environment upgrades.
- Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain high-quality API documentation and comprehensive setup/troubleshooting guides.
- Enablement: Create training materials (tutorials/how-tos) and conduct workshops for Test Engineers and End-Users.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed university degree in an engineering field (software, electronics, mechanical), math or applied physics
- Ideally more than 3 years of working experience in developing / testing automotive embedded software/systems
- Practical knowledge of automotive communication buses (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, SPI) and protocols/standards (e.g. J19x9, UDS)
- Highly motivated, willing to take responsibility and ownership of a project with a hands-on approach
- Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles
- Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English)
