About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design responsibility for circuit components and/or complete PCBAs, including ownership of the release process
  • Component selection and supplier communication during development, including creation and maintenance of component libraries
  • Circuit design using Altium Designer
  • Design analysis and documentation in accordance with customer and internal ME requirements
  • Specification, design and construction of test fixtures and equipment to perform hardware-level tests
  • Execution of hardware component and hardware-integration tests on prototypes, development samples and production units
  • Support in creating test requirements and test sequences, taking into account internal and customer requirements, and development of risk analyses for used technologies and required mission profiles
  • Scripting of test sequences to enable partial or full automation of hardware test cases
  • Documentation of test results and maintenance of traceability between test cases and hardware requirements
  • Support for root cause analysis of component or design failures identified during testing
  • Management of test equipment resources in cooperation with project owners and other stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in an engineering field (mechatronics, electrical engineering, automotive engineering or similar)
  • Practical experience in electronic design, testing and analysis; automotive experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of hardware component and integration test methods and a strong background in planning, executing and automating test cases; Python knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience in electronics design and manufacturing, with the ability to create schematics and layouts and interpret drawings
  • Highly motivated, with a willingness to take responsibility and ownership of projects
  • Creative, curious and enthusiastic about innovative electronic solutions for electric vehicles
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills (English required; German desirable)
