Build and improve the UI for a web video player and related frontend components
Optimize startup time, latency, and playback quality across browsers/devices
Partner with backend and infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve streaming issues

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
7+ years of experience building modern web applications
Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
Professional experience working with video streaming technologies (e.g., HLS, DASH, WebRTC, ABR, CDNs, or video players)
Experience building and optimizing performance-sensitive user interfaces
Experience collaborating closely with backend and infrastructure teams
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex, high-scale environments
Nice to Have
Experience working on live streaming or real-time video products
Familiarity with browser media APIs (e.g., MSE/EME)
Experience operating in high-scale, high-availability systems
Passion for improving video quality and user experience at scale
