About the role
- Consistently meet and exceed daily and monthly quotas by diligently working towards collection targets and contributing to the team's overall success.
- Develop genuine relationships with small business owners by understanding their unique situations and showing empathy and support throughout the collections process.
- Actively mitigate Mulligan Funding's monthly losses by employing effective collections strategies and offering creative repayment solutions for clients.
- Utilize exceptional sales and negotiation skills to arrange payment plans and settlements with delinquent merchants, focusing on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Pre-qualify merchants for workouts and modifications to existing fundings by thoroughly reviewing their financial situation and determining their eligibility for alternative repayment options.
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations of merchants by assessing their financial health, credit history, and other relevant factors to determine the likelihood of repayment.
- Provide continuous feedback to our Underwriting and Credit teams on potential trends in our delinquency population, contributing to the ongoing improvement of our risk assessment and management processes.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; AA or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience collecting commercial debt.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FDCPA, state, and federal laws.
- Advanced skip tracing techniques preferred.
- Exceptional listening and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An ability to multitask during conversations.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Salesforce.
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing bank statements and company P&L.
