About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide a one-stop shop to GCIB Relationship Managers, Portfolio Management representatives, Product Partners, customers, and other stakeholders for all customer-related enquiries
  • Assist and plan Project Implementation; Communications Hub; Front-Office Enablement, and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support the wider MID team to deliver credit-related and onboarding middle office functions
  • Support the new Transaction Booking Checking initiatives aimed at improving incident management and remediation as part of broader risk control strategies
  • Execution and management of the middle office support model for Oceania
  • Liaise with front office, operations and risk teams to ensure a seamless transaction process
  • Provide guidance on requirements, including but not limited to ID documentation, internal forms, client documentation
  • Taking queries in relation to client facilities
  • Arrange updated client documentation
  • Provide guidance to enquiries from the business, product partners and the client - verification of returned executed docs
  • Provide guidance on documentation / Operational process / requirements for both Bilateral and Syndication arrangements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 – 3 years experience in a bank in a middle office function or in any of one of the following teams; credit and portfolio, relationship, lending, in a bank or in a large corporate
  • Undergraduate qualification in accounting, banking or finance subjects
  • Good mathematical knowledge
  • Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Research & analytical skills
  • Minimum Australian industry, business and economic understanding
  • Be able to engage in independent research and analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong financial analysis acumen and ability to assess large sets of data, make expert judgment, and identify key risks
  • Intermediate skills in credit writing, financial analysis and modelling, legal documentation and debt structuring, MS office experience with key capabilities in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
