About the role
- Support and mature public key infrastructure (PKI) including governance, strategy, implementation, operations, and alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Support data protection technologies and services, including but not limited to Thales CipherTrust, AWS Key Management Service, and OpenText Secure Data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, cloud engineers, architects, and operations, to embed secure cryptographic controls and practices into the software delivery lifecycle.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cryptography, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Stay up to date on the latest cryptographic advancements and regulations, including post quantum cryptography.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a security analyst or security engineering role with exposure to cryptographic tools and services.
- Understanding of data in motion protections, including Transport Layer Security (TLS), Secure Shell/Secure File Transfer (SSH/SFTP), IPSec/TLS VPN
- Understanding of applied cryptography systems and primitives, including asymmetric cryptography (RSA, Elliptic Curve), symmetric cryptography (AES), and hash functions (SHA-2, SHA-3)
- Experience in certificate lifecycle management systems such as Digicert, Venafi, or KeyFactor.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
