About the role

We are seeking a skilled Commvault Backup Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Commvault backup solutions
Design and implement Commvault HyperScale X and snapshot-based backup solutions across AWS and on-premises environments
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for hybrid environments, focusing on database backups using Commvault snapshot technology
Collaborate with DBAs to ensure backup solutions meet business requirements for protection, availability, and compliance
Diagnose and resolve complex Commvault backup and recovery issues in AWS and on-premises settings
Perform performance assessments and proactive monitoring of Commvault infrastructure and snapshot management
Maintain documentation, provide training, and manage vendor/cloud relationships with Commvault and AWS

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Commvault in an operational/engineering role
Extensive knowledge of Commvault HyperScale X technology and snapshot management for database backups
Demonstrated experience designing and managing Commvault solutions in complex hybrid IT environments (AWS and on-premises)
Proficiency in AWS cloud services, architecture, and data protection best practices
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hybrid IT and database backup/recovery scenarios
Relevant certifications in Commvault, AWS, or related fields are highly desirable
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely-related discipline, or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
