Key responsibilities & impact

Independently perform FEA and CFD analyses including model setup, meshing, boundary condition definition, solving, and post-processing.
Evaluate mechanical components and assemblies subjected to static and dynamic loading, thermal effects, pressure, and flow conditions.
Apply established modeling practices and methodologies to standard and moderately complex simulation problems.
Support design decisions by delivering clear, well-documented analysis results to design, manufacturing, and project teams.
Produce formal engineering analysis reports for internal use, documenting assumptions, methods, limitations, and conclusions.
Support work in regulated or quality-critical applications, including products used in nuclear, BPVC, and energy/power generation markets.
Contribute to design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) sessions with cross-functional teams.
May provide peer input or informal review of simulation work performed by others.
Identify and communicate technical risks related to simulation results.
Support continuous improvement of simulation standards, best practices, and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
Typically 7+ years of progressive experience performing FEA and/or CFD in industrial or mechanical design environments.
Expert-level proficiency in one or more simulation platforms:
ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, SolidWorks Simulation, SolidWorks Flow Simulation, Abaqus, or COMSOL.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Working knowledge of testing methodologies, testing processes, and standards.
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
Experience with MATLAB and/or Python for post-processing, validation, or workflow automation (preferred).
GD&T knowledge (preferred).
Working knowledge of casting, machining, and manufacturing processes (preferred).
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt (preferred).
FE/EIT or PE certification (preferred).
