About the role
- Lead and scale our unified data engineering team to power MSPbots.ai’s next phase of growth.
- Direct Reports: 3 Data Engineers (with future team growth planned); future integration: Data Analysts.
- Reporting Line: Executive Leadership Team.
- Location: Remote (cross-timezone collaboration required for China and Philippine Team).
- Establish unified data models across ConnectWise, AutoTask, and Halo for PSA Data Integration.
- Resolve sync issues and build scalable infrastructure to support 10x customer growth.
- Provide the data foundation for AI Ticket Triage and future AI-driven products.
- Develop automated dashboards for client health monitoring, churn prediction, and executive KPIs.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top data engineering talent; provide technical mentorship and support career growth.
- Partner with product, engineering, and customer success teams for cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish quality standards, security protocols, and compliance best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years in data engineering, with 2+ years in team management.
- Strong understanding of data engineering, analytics, and data science workflows.
- Proficiency with modern data technologies such as SQL, Python, Snowflake, and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
- Experience with predictive modeling and scalable pipeline architecture.
- Proficiency with data integration tools, RESTful APIs, and custom ETL processes.
- Establish robust data governance, security, and compliance practices (e.g., SOC2, GDPR).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data concepts into business value.
- Strong English for cross team working.
- Experience in SaaS, internet, or technology industries preferred.
- Proven track record of building and managing high-performing technical teams.
- Comfortable working with executive leadership and external clients.
- Ability to work with teams across US, China and Philippines time zones with flexible hours.
