About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support medical device lifecycle management activities and assist fellow engineers in equipment upgrades, recalls, replacements, and inventory tracking and asset management utilization.
  • Assist with the evaluation and testing of medical technologies prior to purchase and implementation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and clinical departments to support equipment maintenance and operational readiness.
  • Support project management activities related to equipment installations, upgrades, replacement initiatives, and departmental projects.
  • Support information technology and cybersecurity best practices related to connected medical devices and healthcare technology systems.
  • Communicate equipment-related issues, safety concerns, and operational recommendations to leadership and clinical partners.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, healthcare technology management, medical device support, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, and related tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical device maintenance, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting practices preferred.
  • Experience supporting healthcare technology, medical equipment, or clinical systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of information technology systems and medical device cybersecurity concepts preferred.
