About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the main administrative support for practice providers in the department
- Answer assigned phone lines promptly and professionally, directing calls appropriately and prioritizing effectively
- Organize and maintain shared communication software tools for the clinical teams, ensuring timely responses and clear communication
- Coordinate appointments, tests, consultations, treatments, and surgeries according to medical urgency, providing clear instructions to patients
- Prepare various documents, including memos, correspondence, reports, and presentations, adhering to mandated formats and readability standards
- Manage authorizations and reimbursements for physician travel and meetings, maintaining licensures and memberships for attending physicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in customer service/patient service is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a rapid, high-stakes environment
- Inclusive collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working in EPIC is a plus
