About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan production for industrial water/wastewater and environmental facilities using AutoCAD and Revit
- Coordinate design elements with architecture, structures, environmental, site civil, and landscape disciplines
- Define equipment, layout, and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations according to applicable codes and standards
- Interpret customer requirements and develop distribution station plans and specifications
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation
- Prepare electrical calculations for low- and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems
- Support water and wastewater projects that improve environmental and public health infrastructure
- Work under the Process and Controls Technical Service Manager alongside engineers, drafters, and technical managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Working knowledge of low- and medium-voltage power distribution, standby power systems, instrumentation, controls, lighting, and fire alarm systems
- Prior water and wastewater treatment experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with ICC, NEC, NFPA building codes and LEED building standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accreditation preferred) or equivalent work experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire
