About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer inbound pharmacy benefit questions
- Assist in office duties, including intake of faxes, calls, and emails
- Maintain frequent phone contact with internal staff, external clients, and external pharmacies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for member and physician inquiries
- Support efficient referral processing from intake to triaging of prescription coverage
- Coordinate and facilitate resolution of pharmacy and benefit issues
- Utilize established protocols to determine the root cause of escalated inquiries and provide timely resolutions
- Work independently and with the intake team to complete assigned pharmacy cases according to standard operating policies and procedures
- Complete program enrollment, answer inquiries, and coordinate access to therapies
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned to support business needs and the pharmacy team
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Degree/GED Required
- 1+ year(s) in the medical or healthcare field
- Insurance & medical terminology
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrates a high degree of customer focus and attention to service
- Comfortable with and able to thrive in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to think through issues and bring forth effective solutions
- Conflict resolution
- Time management and multi-tasking skills
