About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a diverse team of engineers delivering critical software for autonomous vehicle ML models and software.
  • Research and develop large-scale data warehousing and analysis.
  • Own large-scale data analysis workflows identifying unexpected impacts of changes to ML models and software.
  • Build high-quality datasets for ML product training and edge-case validation.
  • Provide statistical analysis of model performance and generalization through rigorous error and change analysis.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with perception and ML teams to develop metrics and analyze results.
  • Develop the full stack, including AWS Kubernetes orchestration, ReSimulation, model metrics, regression reports, and deep-dive analysis UIs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record leading a small, diverse team supporting a large user base.
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis.
  • Proven experience developing and deploying large-scale cloud frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing technologies.
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is a bonus.
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a bonus.
  • Experience with machine learning in autonomous driving is a bonus.
  • Publications or contributions to the AI/ML community are a bonus.
